Alabama and the surrounding Gulf Coast can aptly be described as being “laid back” or, to some, “slow.” Careful when you ruffle the locals’ feathers about it though, we have all grown to appreciate the breezy pace around here. Our world is being driven by trillions of bits and bytes being pushed and pulled over airwaves, fiber optic lines, and ethernet cables, much like the action in a massive amusement park. At any given moment you can think, “How many calories are in this?” or “How many bytes are in a terabyte?” In the next 90 seconds you can have your answer, and we have all grown to expect that kind of turnaround.
